By hand and by heart
Dunphail will be a resolutely traditional distillery. It will be constructed and operated to craft the finest whisky the way it used to be made.
Our firm belief in the importance of high-quality barley and the use of traditional floor maltings on-site at the distillery will ensure that Dunphail’s spirit will be a product of uniqueness whilst also being shaped by generations of rich distilling heritage.

Our long fermentation regime and slow, direct-fire distillation might take longer than most – but we fervently believe that in crafting by hand, you must also craft by heart - taking all the time that is necessary to ensure an unyielding commitment to quality.
As well as producing world-class single malt whiskies, Dunphail aims to become a new centre for whisky tourism.
With a leading visitor centre, tasting rooms and malting experiences, Dunphail will combine its traditional outlook to production with a forward-looking, innovative approach to whisky education and appreciation.

OUR DISTILLERY

Dunphail Distillery will be constructed on existing farm buildings and will draw its water from an onsite, mineral-rich borehole. The refurbished and extended facility will retain harmony with the beautiful surrounding countryside and combine heritage with modernity through its use of traditional building materials such as Scottish oak and stonework and pointing.
The site will feature a floor malting facility aired through an iconic, operational ventilating cupola (pagoda) as well as a cutting-edge visitor centre, blending rooms and a dunnage warehouse experience.
